Oh What a Week This Has Been!

Amazing things are happening in my city and this week I was fortunate to attend four great events but two are featurable. Yep, just made that word up!

BUCKHEAD BOTTLE BAR & BISTRO SPRING – SUMMER TASTE & SIP AFFAIR

On Monday I attended the Spring/Summer menu tasting party at Buckhead Bottle Bar & Bistro with tasty creations from Executive Chef Mark Phillips. The star studded event offered complimentary Spring/Summer cocktails like the Papaya Sunset (vodka, papaya, lime and simple syrup) and the Berry Fizz (rum, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and cranberry juice topped with champagne). The food was amazing and although my photos didn’t come out as I hoped (it’s okay I make up for it in the next section). The legendary Julius Erving attended the event along with Celebrity Stylist B. Short, Atlanta’s own and Fox TV’s Hell’s Kitchen Alum, Chef Jason Ellis, and many more were there to support Chef Mark Phillips. The food was amazing and I suggest you make your reservations as soon as possible to try the Crab & Lobster Cake as an app then follow it with the Fish & Grits.

THE ALTAR EGO LAUNCH |a considered curation experience

On Wednesday I was asked to attend a unique event at a private Atlanta residence for the launch of Altar Herbal Martini.  Altar is an all-natural premium alcohol free beverage masterfully blended with exotic fruits, vegetables, teas, spices and a unique herbal formulation. There are five amazing flavors: Bliss, Chi, Restore, Chill and Aphrodisiac. The Founder, Jagatjoti Khalsa was in attendance and shared his purpose behind the creations. Khalsa doesn’t drink and wanted to create a cocktail to enjoy when socializing with his friends and colleagues. Khalsa sampled hundreds of teas on his travels and quest to find the perfect blends for his Altar beverages.

In addition to sampling exotic flavors and world sounds by DJ Heather B, mixologists blended Altar with St. Germain, Bullet Rye Whiskey and Pusser’s Navy Rum just to name a few. These custom cocktails were brilliant and flavorful! Trinity Productions created a unique atmosphere for this event by introducing flavorful vegan appetizers supplied by Chef Jamila Crawford of Earth Candy, massages and henna for guests.
